Being a blue person...

Agh..sometimes it sucks being a blue person...! I feel like I have to explain myself if i don't make sense or if I don't explain something. ...I dunno if anyone would care, but we're all girls here, so I'm just going to act like I'm talking to close friend. So today when Ms. Karen asked me if anything was new with the boyfriend, she was referring to our issue with his visa. Basically, he is a Colombian citizen and there's a chance he wont be able to return to the states for 8 years. Unless he's adopted or he gets married. He's been out of the country since February 8th; 8 months out of our year and 3 months together. Now for those of you who may think I'm crazy, we were hoping for him to get his renewed visa and to return next July; well...that didn't happen. However...the crazy thing about this whole...experience is that we have gotten a whole lot closer as friends, and as a couple, which makes me happy and won't let us give up. ...even though you can only really call to Colombia, not from, and a plane ticket during Spring Break is at the lowest, $700 on priceline.com...! So let me ask you guys: If you were in my position with the possibility of not being able to see that person you love for a month, a year, or even 8 more, what would you do??

Halloweennnnnnnn...Boo HaHaHa....

So!! Halloween is coming up soon!! Too soon for me!! So what are you all doing for Halloween and what are you all going to be? I need some ideas. A friend suggested I should be a cat; However, #1, he's a guy, and #2, a cat's easy, but not original! I'm excited but I'm on a budget and I needa think of something soon!!Also, who's going to the Murder Mystery here at Meredith? I'm excited, but I'm making sure that RIGHT after 'Despicable Me,' I go straight to the library!!

Allergic to the Fair...

So...last night a couple of friends and I went to the State Fair. Well of course we had to stop by Food Lion to get the four cans, that nearly totaled the amount of an actual ticket, that would get us in for free. After the expected 15 minutes it took to find a parking space that would fit my friend's amazingly sexy Mustang, we entered through the fair gates into the crowds of people. One of the first things we did was stop at a funnel cake place so I could get a cake...which I kind of resented when I remembered about the ice cream... Anyway, we had passed by a barn, and I stayed outside so I was okay. But then we went to one of the ...warehouse exhibit things with the animals, and I had to go outside. For the rest of the night, my allergies and my body were in this epic battle over which would control my night...!!
Well anyway, we ate whole pickles for 50 cents and we bought bags of maple cotton candy...it was...AWESOME. Then of course came the main reason I wanted to go to the fair...the beautiful fireworks. I was running to find my other friends, but I still enjoyed them nonetheless. When I found my other friends, they immediately wanted to ride some rides. They rode the......umm...this roller coaster looking thing and this other ride where they were in a space ship type thing spinning around. Meanwhile...I bought my awesome new hat!:DD. After getting lost looking for it, my friend found one or the new Krispy Kreme Burgers, and she said it was awesome, while my other friend ate a blooming onion. Ewwwwww!! Anyways, by the end of the fair, we had gotten lost several times by the time Ariel called her "creepy" cab driver friend who gave us a ride home... Man was it good to take a shower and sleep...!Anyway, I'm still sick, but Im so happy I went to the fair and hung out with my friends!

A couple of college guys, soccer, and some monolouges

So last Saturday was interesting. ...or maybe it was Friday. nope nope...it was Friday. Okay, so Friday, was interesting. After being dragged for no reason to a Flag Football practice in which I could not participate, after mistaking several ant bites on my back for an allergic reaction due to crunches done in the grass which I'm probably allergic to, and our annual dinner at Beansprout Chinese restaurant, my friend's and I retreated to a friend's dorm to await the arrival of her mysterious guy friends. Now, the story around these guy friends is one that would make any college mother's toes curl. We're all adults here, so I'll come out and say it, we were at the 'notorious' FUBAR club on college night when my friend met this guy, Mike, who she thought was French. By the end of the night, Mike had not only danced with my friend, but he had stolen a kiss or two, and had some digits; if you know what I mean... Well, Mike would not let my friend go! He kept calling and texting her and he even met her at her job. Now my friend's and I weren't all too happy; I saw the guy, and he was no Leonardo De Caprio, and I'd always been warned against meeting people in the club. Now, Mike and his friends were coming to Meredith for a soccer game, which I planned to sit out. So, the time came when Mike called my friend and we all rushed outside to meet the three men in the sewer smelling parking lot between Heilman and Barefoot. Faud, Zacharias, and Maud, not Mike, all from Morocco, stepped out of their BMW and Volkswagen and shook our hands. Personally, I thought Faud looked the best, but anyway, on to the soccer field we went! ...through the dark. We ended up playing for maybe an hour or two, and it was fun! Although I need to learn how to silently curse to myself when I miss a shot, and well as learn the rules of soccer! The guys were pretty cool, and they were supportive...least when they weren't speaking French...for those of us who were 'soccer challenged.' Before 10 the guys, all in their early 20s and trying to transfer to NCSU, left after vowing a rematch. I couldn't tell you who won...I think we gave up points way before the end...! After that, three of us went to the showing of 'There's More Than Sex in this City.' The monologues, about girls' experiences revolving around sex, relationships, and other instances in college was pretty good. I enjoyed the dances as well as most of the stories. ...There was this one girl who's stories kept depressing me, especially since I'm in a loooooooong distance relationship, were about distance and something else. The ones I did enjoy included this one about people's reactions to virgins, one that I thought was about interracial relationships, one about bodily functions, and of course, this funny one known as 'Bulls eye' about well...sex and karma's ways of revenge. It felt a little awkward for my 'virgin ears' to hear about all the sex, but then I had to keep reminding myself that hey, we're in college, we're adults, so get used to it!
